Events
There are so many great event in McGregor and Marquette you can't pick just one. Luckily, some of them repeat such as the ever popular Marquette Flea Markets at the Hwy 18 Bridge. A local favorite is the Lazy River Beer and Wine Fest in June. Our fall art market in Turner Park is a must see event. Outdoor Activites
The greatest river in America and it's right in our back yard. Many of our locals and visitors find many of their outdoor activities relating to the Mississippi River. From Boating and Fishing to kayaking & canoeing is just the tip of the iceberg for what this area offers for activities. Pikes Peak Effigy Mounds, and Yellow River Forest offer some of the best hiking trails in Iowa. Don't think that the outdoor activities cool down when the mercury drops. We have a host of locations for great fat tire biking, snow shoeing, and cross county skiing and of course ice fishing. With so many trout streams there is great open water fishing 12 months a year. If you like the outdoors McGregor Marquette is a destination you will want visit often.

If you love antiques we have stores on either end our our fine towns, along with mercantile, and pharmacies that sell great cloths to commemorate our great area of the county here on the Mississippi River. McGregor Marquette & Prairie du Chien is known as the Ports of Discovery for good reason. Because there is so much to see and discover.
