Customer Focused- Community Driven: That's the Birdnow way!

If you are lucky enough to know what you want to do when you grow up, then you are pretty lucky. Most people don't know what they want to do even at the age of fifty. But that wasn't the case for Justin Birdnow, owner of Birdnow Chevrolet in Monona. Since the age of ten, Justin knew he wanted to carry on the family legacy and business that his dad Mark built. "I remember sitting at the dinner table and hearing my dad talk about his day," Justin recalls. "I really enjoyed listening to his stories about how he helped people and that inspired me to follow in his footsteps. Owning a car dearlership is something that has been in my blood since I can remember."

In 2003, Justin's dad purchased Huinker Chevrolet and renamed it to Birdnow Chevrolet of Monona. As a kid, Justin worked in many positions at the dealerships. From mowing lawn, detailing and eventually selling cars, he did it all. Then, in 2016, Justin and his family relocated to the area so that he could run the family business. In 2021, Justin and his wife, Meghan purchased the family business and moved their family closer to the community of Monona. "Community is a big deal for us here at Birdnow," Justin shared. "We wanted to live in a relaxed community and be able to give back as much as possible."

Giving back to the community is just one of the ways that the Birdnow family shows their appreciation for their customers. Most of the twenty employees working at Birdnow are in some way involved in community activities. Justin, himself is a basketball coach for his daughters team, a newly certified driver for the MFL ambulance, and a generous donor for local events. In addition, Justin and his brother, Jeremy, owner of the Oelwein dealership also donate to feed the hungry every December.

Aside from giving back philanthropically, Birdnow Chevrolet of Monona also strives to provide quality customer service. From selling you your dream car or truck, servicing your current vehicle, detailing, finding you the right accessories, and assisting with loans; they do it all. In fact, they will pick up your vehicle at your place of work or home and return it after servicing. It doesn't matter if you are in Monona or not. They will travel to McGregor, Marquette, and all the way to West Union if you want. Looking to test drive during your lunch break? Well, they can meet you for that too.

When it comes down to it, the Birdnow slogan of "You'll love how we treat you!" is more than a slogan, its a way of life for the Birdnow family. And the employees live this mission everyday. So if you are in the market for a new ride, need some mechanical or body repairs, or just want to visit, Justin's door is always open.
