The uniquely decorated Guest Suite has its own private ground-level entrance, kitchen, private bath, television, air conditioning, fireplace and private courtyard. The Guest Suite offers sleeping for 6 with one queen bed, one twin and a sofa sleeper.
Built in 1874, the lower level was the hook and ladder fire truck room, with the jail adjacent. The cells were 8x10x15 feet with solid rock floor. The ceilings were planked and lined with iron, securely bolted and riveted. Council rooms were upstairs.
The city of McGregor and surrounding areas offer many fun activities from shopping in unique stores, boating and fishing on the Mississippi River, hiking at Effigy Mounds National Monument or Pikes Peak State Park, the Isle of Capri Casino and so much more!
