Upcoming Arts Center Events

The McGregor-Marquette Center for the Arts, MMCA, will be a place to explore your creativity and share in the creative experience with others.  A place dedicated to the many forms of creative expression, it will provide everyone a place to experience a wide variety of arts activities.  A place to create, display and experience the visual arts such as painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber and ceramics.  A place to create and partake in music, dance, film, video, poetry, spoken, performing, and literary arts events.

The Purpose of the Arts Center is to fill the arts and cultural gap in our community.  We will create a place to gather to experience the breadth and richness of creative expression of the artists from within and beyond our own region.  Through gallery exhibits and sales, art classes for children and adults and performances of music, dance, film and more we will offer citizens an opportunity to enhace their lives right here at home.  As we grow, we will be able to enhance our offerings to include a wider variety of classes and activities.

The Mission of the McGregor-Marquette Center for the Arts is to promote and nourish the creation and appreciation of the arts through exhibitions and high quality educational offerings.  We seek to provide engaging, dynamic and culturally enriching experiences that are available to all.

Our Vision is to create a space where community residents and visitors can gather for dynamic, culturally enriching experiences in the visual, performing and literary arts.

Introducing...

"PORTALS, GATES & THRESHOLDS"

a traveling experience from viroqua, wi

Showing through August

"A doorway could represent an opportunity to leave something behind and move toward something. Change could be represented. The idea of a portal could be the entrance to a different reality or a journey from one dimension to another. The art has ranged from the real to the surreal to representational to abstract. There have been paintings, masks, dwellings, fiber art, multi-media, sculpture. It has been new, original and fun!
